Four Separate Versions Of The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumoured

imagesThe Samsung Galaxy Note 3 remains one of the most eagerly anticipated smartphone models of the year. As we near its rumoured September announcement, we have seen increasing speculation and rumours about potential features of Samsung’s third generation phablet model. Of course, the device will have some big shoes to fill in the shape of the current Galaxy Note 2 model, but the handset is likely to once again raise the bar in the phablet niche.

Several months ago, some of the first rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 suggested that the handset will come with an aluminium chassis and flexible display. More recently revealed information has suggested otherwise though, and GSM Arena has recently reported on leaked information about the phone’s features from a Korean publication. The source has claimed that Samsung will launch four separate variants of the Galaxy Note 3.

The highest end model is expected to include a 13 megapixel camera and unbreakable AMOLED display among its key specifications, along with a handful of exclusive features.

The second variant of the handset will also come with a 13 megapixel camera, the source claims along with a standard AMOLED display, and is claimed to be the international variant of the device.

A third instalment will also see the same 13 megapixel camera and plastic casing, but the website reports that it will utilise a different touchscreen type. The source has claimed that an LCD panel will be used instead of an AMOLED display. It was previously reported that the popularity of the Galaxy S4 has meant that Samsung would be unable to produce ample numbers of super AMOLED displays for all models of the Galaxy Note 3. By utilising an LCD display on some models, it will mean that sufficient numbers of the phone can be produced, and will also mean that it will come with a more affordable price tag.

The fourth and final version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also claimed to come with an LCD display and plastic body. However, instead of a 13 megapixel camera, its resolution will be downgraded to 8 megapixels. It is likely that this model will essentially be a budget version, which would be a welcome addition within the phablet niche where the majority of handsets come with premium price tags to match their specifications. It is expected that September 4th will see the South Korean manufacturer officially unveils its third generation phablet model at the IFA event in Berlin. With so much anticipation for this phone, it is likely that more information regarding its features will be revealed in the coming weeks, so as usual we will be sure to keep you posted with all the latest info.
